 Club's Mission

To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

 Club's History

The Boys and Girls Club of the Capital City was founded in December 7, 1995, by a group of concerned parents and business/community individuals as an independent, not for-profit agency. The land and building (formerly a gas station) were donated December 1996 by Bill Wallis of Wallis Oil Company. The Club was elected to full membership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America December 31, 1999. The original building and new addition was completed and fully operational by September 2003. It houses a Teen Center, two multi-purpose rooms, two computer labs, staff offices, a commercial kitchen, library, and reception area. In May 2004, the Club was accepted as a United Way, full member agency.
