To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. |

The Boys and Girls Club of the Capital City was founded in December 7, 1995, by a group of concerned parents and business/community individuals as an independent, not for-profit agency. The land and building (formerly a gas station) were donated December 1996 by Bill Wallis of Wallis Oil Company. The Club was elected to full membership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America December 31, 1999. The original building and new addition was completed and fully operational by September 2003. It houses a Teen Center, two multi-purpose rooms, two computer labs, staff offices, a commercial kitchen, library, and reception area. In May 2004, the Club was accepted as a United Way, full member agency. |
